West Coast Fever will ramp up their preparations for the 2018 Suncorp Super Netball season, when they face Magpies Netball in two pre season games in December at the State Netball Centre.
The Victorian side will travel to Perth for games on 12-13 December, with the first open to the public, and schools invited to the second match.
The next generation of netball stars will also have the opportunity to attend a clinic with both West Coast Fever and Magpies Netball athletes on Monday 11 December from 4.00pm – 6.00pm at the State Netball Centre
West Coast Fever Head Coach Stacey Marinkovich said the matches were an integral part of their preparation for the 2018 season.
“We’re looking forward to hosting the Magpies in December in what will be our first pre season games,” Marinkovich said.
“These two games present fantastic opportunities for us to be able to test our combinations against a quality side, and with the second season of Suncorp Super Netball so far away, these two contests are extremely important.”
“It’s also a wonderful opportunity for our fans to be able to see the team in action so early, and we’re confident of welcoming a great turnout at the State Netball Centre.”
Magpies Netball Head Coach Kristy Keppich-Birrell said it was a great opportunity to play a quality team during the Magpies’ preseason.
“Fever have recruited well over the break and will be strong contenders in 2018.”
“With the season so far away, it will be a great opportunity to create some excitement around both teams, and establish a starting point to build from over the pre-season.”
Fans can register for the clinic here, with more ticketing information to be released in the coming weeks.
