With the final votes tallied following the Magpies final game of the season in Round 14, the 36-year-old was a clear 2020 winner, polling 66 votes to finish 24 clear of runner-up Molly Jovic with 42 votes.
In her second year in the black and white, Mentor played every game of the 14-round season and tallied the most deflections (107) for defenders in the league.
Since joining Collingwood, Mentor has taken the court in the starting seven line-up for every game.
Mentor has played 29 matches for the Magpies, after crossing from the Sunshine Coast Lightning at the end of the 2018 season and has played a total of 191 national league games.
Mentor was also awarded the Player’s Player award for the second consecutive year, which honours not only distinguished performance but empathy and care for team-mates and a commitment to team.
With Collingwood offering opportunities to six debutants this year, the co-captain guided a younger, inexperienced squad and displayed impeccable leadership, patience, and support on and off the court.
Jovic was one of the discoveries of the season in her debut Suncorp Super Netball campaign, recognised as the Most Valued Player in Round 3, her third national league game.
The 24-year-old centre, who missed two matches due to a head injury, answered for 113 goal assists and 10 intercepts.
2021 will see both Mentor and Jovic remain in the black and white after signing new deals with the club.
