The Melbourne Vixens have announced their final player signing of the signing period, adding former West Coast Fever defender Olivia Lewis to their 2022 squad.
The 22-year-old debuted during the 2019 Suncorp Super Netball season and played 27 games with Fever, where she won Coaches Award in her first season at the club.
Bringing her skills as a versatile defender, the ability to play as both goal keeper and goal defence makes Lewis a strong addition to the Vixens’ 2022 team.
“I’m really excited to be joining the Vixens in 2022 and continuing my netball at this level,” said Lewis.
“What drew me to the Vixens is how driven they are to get back to the top of the competition. The club has built a really strong team heading into next year so I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do.
“I would like to thank West Coast Fever and Netball WA for the support they’ve given me across my pathway journey. This is a big move, but I’m ready for the challenge and look forward to coming over to Melbourne in the coming weeks.”
Lewis completes a busy signing period for the Vixens and joins Mwai Kumwenda, Kate Eddy, Kiera Austin, Rahni Samason, Hannah Mundy, Kate Moloney, Liz Watson, Jo Weston and Emily Mannix.
