The first round fixture for the 2020 Suncorp Super Netball season has been revealed, unveiling that all the action will begin on Saturday 2 May.
Round One of the 2020 season gets off to a flyer, kickstarted by two huge match-ups at Melbourne Arena on Saturday 2 May, with the Melbourne Vixens taking on the Queensland Firebirds and the Collingwood Magpies facing the West Coast Fever.
The excitement will continue Sunday afternoon when the NSW Swifts go up against the Sunshine Coast Lightning for the 2019 Grand Final re-match on the newly-established Swifts’ home court at Ken Rosewall Arena in Sydney.
The first week of Suncorp Super Netball action will then be rounded out on Sunday when the Adelaide Thunderbirds play their first home game of the season against GIANTS Netball.
Suncorp Super Netball CEO Chris Symington said the first round of 2020 Suncorp Super Netball is bound to set the tone for the season.
“It’s exciting for fans that the season is starting a bang, especially with the 2019 Grand Final re-match. We’re looking forward to revealing the full 2020 fixture later this week – it’s going to be another incredible season of the world’s best netball,” he said.
For the 2020 season, two Suncorp Super Netball matches per week will be broadcast live on Channel 9 and two on Telstra TV. All matches will be streamed live and on demand on the Netball Live Official App.
The full 2020 Suncorp Super Netball fixture will be released on Friday 15 November.
