The 2022 Suncorp Super Netball season will be more accessible to netball fans, with all matches to be broadcast live on Fox Sports and new Saturday timeslots headlining a blockbuster fixture announced today.
The 2022 Suncorp Super Netball fixture includes the introduction of later Saturday timeslots (5:00pm AEST and 7:00pm AEST) to ensure community netball participants can watch the world’s best netballers compete in the world’s best league.
The season will begin on Saturday 26 March, headlined by a Grand Final rematch between reigning premiers the NSW Swifts and GIANTS Netball under lights at Ken Rosewall Arena.
The four-week finals series will begin on Saturday 18 June, before the Grand Final is fought out on Saturday 2 July at 7:00pm AEST.
The sixth edition of Suncorp Super Netball will lead into the 2022 Commonwealth Games, to be held from July 28 to August 8.

Teams will lead a number of themed matches in 2022, including honouring the 25-year anniversaries of the NSW Swifts, Melbourne Vixens, Adelaide Thunderbirds and Queensland Firebirds in Round 3.
First Nations Round will be held across Rounds 12 and 13 and has been renamed to respectfully encompass and acknowledge the diversity of First Nations cultures, people and identities of Australia.
The Pride Match between the Collingwood Magpies and the Queensland Firebirds will also return in 2022, with the teams continuing to celebrate the LGBTIQA+ community in netball.
Other fixture highlights include the Round 14 matches between the NSW and Queensland teams aligning with the NRL’s State of Origin, while the Melbourne Derby between the Vixens and Collingwood has cemented its place on the Queen’s Birthday public holiday.
By popular demand mid-week matches will return in 2022, with Rounds 4 and 10 being played across Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The upcoming season will mark the start of the league’s new five-year broadcast deal with the Foxtel Group, with all Tuesday and Sunday matches to be broadcast live and free on Kayo Freebies.
Netball Australia’s Executive General Manager – Suncorp Super Netball, Events and Commercial, Adam Richardson, said the 2022 fixture delivered for netball fans.
