The revolutionary goaler who has solidified herself as one of the biggest names in Australian netball, will achieve the milestone eight years after her national league debut in 2014.
One of the most exciting and polarising players in the sport, Bueta changed the way netball is played, one spectacular play after another, including her iconic lay-up reminiscent of her basketball days in the WNBL and national teams.
Despite signing with the NSW Swifts in 2014, it has been Bueta’s seven years in the purple Firebirds dress that fans associate her with, lighting up the court and changing the state of a game in seconds.
Back-to-back national titles in 2015 and 2016 for the Firebirds also came with the notoriety around Bueta, solidifying her Diamonds status in 2015 with her debut appearance at the Constellation Cup (at just 22 years of age might we add!)
Forty international caps for Australia have since seen the elite goaler take part in Netball World Cups, Constellation Cups, and make her a key component of the Origin Australian Diamonds squad.
Bueta also received Australian netball's highest honour in 2019, winning the Liz Ellis Diamond at the Australian Netball Awards.
On top of the success of her athletic career, Bueta welcomed her first child, Bobby, into the world in 2021 with husband Niko. Her time away from the Suncorp Super Netball court in 2020 was short lived as she returned within months of having Bobby to line up for 2021.
In the 2021 Suncorp Super Netball season, Bueta landed a spot in the top 15 current league shooters with 266 points at 80.5% accuracy. She was also in the top 10 for centre pass receives with 288.
Bueta will play her 100th national league game against the Collingwood Magpies Sunday 15 May at 2.00pm AEST in their Pride Match hosted at MyState Bank Arena, Hobart.
