Charles tangled with Giants Captain Kim Green with less than a minute on the clock, with the Fever Centre forced from the court.
The tenacious midcourter underwent a scan on her left knee yesterday, and West Coast Fever Executive Officer Tamara Sheppard said the Club would continue to monitor Charles’ recovery over the course of the week.
“Verity is an incredibly tough and diligent athlete, and the elite level way in which she prepares for training and games, particularly around her knee, has certainly paid dividends in this situation,” Sheppard said.
“We will continue to work with our doctor, physiotherapist and strength and conditioning staff to assess Verity this week, and across the course of the finals series.”
West Coast Fever will travel to Sydney on Thursday, ahead of the Club’s Major Semi Final clash against the Giants on Saturday afternoon, with the winner earning the rights to host the Grand Final a fortnight later.
