The Suncorp Super Netball League is in the process of relocating four clubs to Melbourne tonight to ensure Round 9 can go ahead.
The decision was made for the NSW Swifts, GIANTS Netball, the Queensland Firebirds and the Sunshine Coast Lightning to travel to Victoria for at least two weeks to safeguard the season.
The league is working closely with government authorities and the West Coast Fever to determine their best next steps.
At this stage, the Round 9 clash between the Adelaide Thunderbirds and the Collingwood Magpies will go ahead as planned at Netball SA Stadium.
Netball Australia is working with SA Health on exemptions for the Magpies to enter the state, which will include adhering to strict COVID protocols and isolation requirements.
The league is working through a number of options for the three remaining matches, as well as assessing Round 10 and beyond.
The league is continuing to monitor the latest health authority and government advice to ensure the welfare of fans, players, officials and staff is the highest priority.
