After two seasons at the Adelaide Thunderbirds, the club has announced that shooter Sam Gooden will not be offered a new contract.
Gooden joined the Thunderbirds in 2020 as a permanent replacement player before becoming a contracted athlete in 2021.
Thunderbirds High Performance Manager Pitre Bourdon thanked Gooden for her contribution to the club over the past two seasons.
“Sam brought great professionalism and maturity to our side over the past two years and is a well-respected player and person at this club,” Bourdon said.
“We thank her for everything she has done for the Thunderbirds and wish her the very best for the future.”
Gooden said she was extremely proud of her time in Adelaide – on and off the court.
“I am so fortunate to have played alongside incredible teammates and formed lifelong friendships,” Gooden said.
“Thank you to the entire Netball SA community for taking me in and making Adelaide my home for the past two years”.
