Magpies midcourter Molly Jovic will miss Collingwood's Round 2 clash against the GIANTS on Saturday in Sydney after sustaining an injury to her right foot in Round 1.
Jovic is expected to make a recovery for the Magpies’ Round 3 home game against the Thunderbirds, but will undergo testing throughout the week.
Training partner Maggie Lind will step up in the mid-court in the absence of Jovic, rewarded for her impressive pre-season form and leadership shown throughout her time at the Magpies.
Lind returned to the Holden Centre this season having been a part of the club’s 2019 Super Club championship side.
The 27-year-old has played a key role for the City West Falcons in the Victorian Netball League, where she has established herself as a competitive wing-attack known for her strength from the circle's edge.
The Magpies will travel to Sydney on Saturday to take on the GIANTS at 3pm at the brand new Ken Rosewall Arena.
