The Suncorp Super Netball League is monitoring its Round 9 fixture as the national coronavirus situation continues to develop.
The league is working closely with the relevant health authorities to determine if any matches will be affected.
Following the significant shift in coronavirus risk, the league this morning directed all players, staff and officials to abide by stay-at-home restrictions.
The directive was made to ensure the health and wellbeing of all athletes, staff and officials and to protect the Suncorp Super Netball season.
Netball Australia will review the restrictions on 12 July 2021.
Netball Australia Interim CEO Ron Steiner said the league was looking at other options, including a hub, as border restrictions became increasingly challenging.
“We need to consider all options, including a hub, to protect the Suncorp Super Netball season,” Steiner said.
“The move to stay-at-home restrictions will firstly ensure the health and wellbeing of our players, staff and officials, as well as help us safeguard the season.”
