She met with her surgeon today who is positive and very happy with the outcome of the recent surgery to Emily’s left hand (pinky finger).
There will be no timeframe placed on the defender’s return, with the focus being on the provision of the best recovery possible.
Emily will now undergo intensive hand therapy and rehabilitation under the supervision of the Hand Therapist and Vixens Medical team.
Emily has been overwhelmed with the messages she’s received and would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone for the kind well wishes and support, they’ve all been really appreciated.
Melbourne Vixens training partner Jacqui Newton will join the team in Mannix’s place this weekend for the Round 9 match against NSW Swifts in Sydney.
