The NSW Swifts will have to take on the 2-1 Sunshine Coast Lightning without Co-captain Maddy Proud, who sustained a foot injury in Round 3.
The Swifts are hoping Proud, who limped off the court late in their Round 3 match against the Melbourne Vixens last Sunday, will be ready to go against the Collingwood Magpies in Round 5.
The Swifts have been dealt an injury blow with a foot problem ruling out co-captain Maddy Proud, however, it is hoped the Australian Diamonds squad member will return for the Round 5 clash with Collingwood.
Head Coach Briony Akle, who will coach her 50th National League match on Sunday, said that Proud had been improving through the week and is tracking well for Round 5.
"We are hoping Maddy will be right for Round 5 and she is moving much better now than she was earlier in the week."
NSW junior and former GIANT Teigan O'Shannassy, who is a current Swifts training partner, has been called into the squad for the trip north.
Sunday's match against the Lightning will take place at 1.00pm (AET) and will be broadcast live on Channel Nine and Telstra's Netball Live App.
