As minor premiers, GIANTS Netball have been rewarded with hosting rights of the major semi-final, which will determine who goes directly through to hosting the grand final. The minor-semi final is an elimination match, with the winner taking on the loser of the major semi-final in the following weeks preliminary final to play off for a grand final spot.

Suncorp Super Netball finals background:
The 2018 Suncorp Super Netball finals series will take place over the weekends from Saturday 11 to Sunday 26 August.
Week one will consist of a major semi-final between the clubs that finished 1st and 2nd at the end of the regular season. The minor premiers will be rewarded with hosting rights and the winner of this game will go straight through to host the grand final in week three.
The minor semi-final will see 3rd v 4th with the higher ranked club rewarded with hosting rights. The loser of this game will be eliminated from the finals with the winner progressing to week two and a preliminary final against the loser of the major semi-final.
The preliminary final hosted by the loser of the major semi-final and minor semi-final will determine who plays off in the grand final against the major semi-final winner.
