How do you like to keep active at home?
I like to have a bit of variety in my workouts, but anything that gets my heart rate up and feeling sweaty afterwards.
At the moment, I am swapping between sessions: some are home workout circuits which include a combination of skipping, body weight exercises and core, and then on other days I will just purely do a weights or cardio focused session to get that all-round balance.
Since a lot of us have free time throughout the day, I may also look to work on my ball handling skills by getting creative with a ball and a wall.
Three tips to getting active from home?
- Wake up feeling motivated and ready for the day
- Find routine – for me, I wake up, have a coffee and get straight into a workout. Then I have breakfast and complete some study until lunchtime
- Get a playlist list together, so that you can workout to your favourite tunes
Favourite healthy meal to cook?
I am a big lover of food and ensuring I keep a well-balanced, nutritious diet. My go-to brekkie would be something as simple as: Greek yoghurt and muesli topped with fresh berries. As for my favourite dinner meal: I love a good beef and cashew nut stir fry and homemade healthy pizza.
What’s your day on a plate look like?
Brekky: Greek yoghurt with muesli and berries OR smashed avo with eggs and tomato
Lunch: Chicken and salad wrap
Dinner: Steak & veg, tacos, stir fry, healthy pizza
Snacks: Popcorn, tuna & rice cakes, grapes, a whole punnet of strawberries (hehe), nut mix, toast with peanut butter and banana… Or anything with peanut butter.
