The Adelaide Thunderbirds have secured their shooting end for 2022 with powerhouse Lenize Potgieter re-signing with the club.
The South African international finished second for the Thunderbirds in Nissan Net Points in 2021 with 740.5 after leading the side in goals scored with 453 at 95% accuracy.
She finished the season on a high, taking out the fan-voted MVP accolade in Rounds 10 and 14 and picking up a Nissan Player of the Match recognition in Round 12.
Against the Firebirds in Round 10, she shot 37/38 at 97% and recorded two intercepts and one deflection in goal shooter.
Thunderbirds High Performance Manager Pitre Bourdon said the club was thrilled to welcome back an athlete of Potgieter’s calibre.
“Lenize brings significant experience to our side and has been a strong target for us in attack for the past two seasons,” Bourdon said.
“She has developed great combinations with the attackers around her and we look forward to this growing even further in 2022.”
