In the second midcourt re-signing for the Adelaide Thunderbirds today, the club revealed that reigning club captain Hannah Petty will remain with the Thunderbirds until at least the end of the 2023 season.
The South Australian talent thrived in her leadership role in 2021 and was a consistent cog in Adelaide’s midcourt.
Playing predominantly in centre, she ranked second for the club in goal assists with 154 and feeds with attempt with 185.
Her courage and defensive flair was on show on multiple occasions as she led her side for pickups with 31 and ranked fourth for intercepts with 12.
Petty joins returning mids Maisie Nankivell and Elle McDonald, who both signed new contracts with the club this week.
Thunderbirds High Performance Manager Pitre Bourdon said the club was thrilled to re-sign Petty for another two seasons.
“Hannah is an incredibly well-respected member of our team and club and we’re very happy to have her on board again for 2022 and 2023,” Bourdon said.
“She is a natural leader and has been a key part of building a family-focused culture at our club.”
