While netball is the ultimate team sport, individual performances can make or break a game.
From finals victories to athletes smashing league records, we've taken a look at some of the best individual performances in Suncorp Super Netball history.
Here are five of the best individual performances of all time.
5. Fantastic Fawns
Players don’t need to be on court for a full game to have an impactful performance, and that mantra rings true when it comes to Swifts shooter Sophie Fawns.
When stepping foot on court in the 2023 preliminary final, Fawns would have no doubt felt the pressure having missed a crucial shot in the major semi final the week before.
Despite only spending 18 minutes on court the youngster was able to insert herself into the match and propel the Swifts into the 2023 grand final.
Fawns slotted seven crucial super shots including three in the do-or-die final quarter against a determined West Coast Fever.
4. Shimmy shines
It's hard to believe Shimona Nelson only picked up a netball for the first time when she was 17-years-old.
Over time, the shooter has developed her craft and confidence to become a strong option in the goal circle.
Despite being one of the less experienced shooters in the netball world, Nelson delivered one of the league's best individual performances for Collingwood against the NSW Swifts in 2021.
Her shooting performance tied her with Jhaniele Fowler for the record of the highest number of goals scored in an SSN match with 69.
Nelson's haul came at an accuracy of 97 per cent, only missing two goal attempts for the match.
Her hold in the goal circle and strength to rein in the passes from the feeders stood out against the Swifts who despite good defensive pressure were unable to halt Nelson's impact on the match.
3. Workhorse Watson
There's no doubt Liz Watson is one of the best midcourters to ever play the game.
Her speed, strength, game smarts and agility has her among the world's best and on grand final day in 2020 she proved it once again.
Despite spending almost 100 days away from home, Watson and the Melbourne Vixens stamped their authority in the match's dying minutes.
Watson may have gone under the radar on grand final day with the contest between the Vixens and West Coast Fever going down to the wire.
Ultimately defensive pressure and dominance from Mwai Kumwenda enabled the side to win the premiership but Watson's individual performance was the piece of string tying the side together.
Watson hit it the circle edge and fed with precision to tally a whopping 57 feeds and 38 goal assists setting a Super Netball Grand Final record for both stats.
2. Glasgow greatness
West Coast Fever's Sasha Glasgow put out a showstopping performance against the Queensland Firebirds in Round 10 of 2023.
The shooter finished the match with a massive 165 Nissan Net Points catapulted by a haul of 14 Suncorp Super Shots.
The goal attack shot at 82 per cent, missing six super shot attempts but nailing her 15 normal goal attempts.
Glasgow's teamwork with Jhaniele Fowler was world class with the duo combining for the largest score in SSN history with the Fever finishing the match on 97 goals.
Glasgow's careful use of the ball and accuracy made her unstoppable in attack.
1. Mannix magic
Emily Mannix's performance against the GIANTS in Round 9 of 2019 headlines the history books and takes the top spot in our list.
The Melbourne Vixens defender holds the record for the highest number of intercepts in a Suncorp Super Netball match with nine from that day.
Mannix was firing from the first whistle with four intercepts in the first quarter against the talented Caitlin Bassett.
Bassett shared the goal shooter bib with England's Jo Harten but neither shooter was able to nullify the impact of Mannix.
Confidently soaring for the ball, enabling the Vixens to charge into attack Mannix was instrumental in the Vixens’ nine-goal win.
