Several Suncorp Super Netball clubs are back into the thick of pre-season, with many already booking in crucial pre-season fixtures. Check out some of the match ups on the horizon here.
SPIRIT CUP
The inaugural Spirit Cup is taking place in Mackay this Saturday as the Queensland Firebirds and Sunshine Coast Lightning come together for a sunshine state showdown in front of a sold-out crowd.
Origin Diamonds stars Steph Wood, Cara Koenen (both Lightning), Donnell Wallam and Ruby Bakewell-Doran (both Firebirds) have been named to take part, as well as several players who are set to suit up for their respective clubs for the first time.
The fixture will be played over five 10-minute periods and provide both coaches – Belinda Reynolds (Lightning) and Bec Bulley (Firebirds) – a chance to get their feet under the desk, with the two mentors both in new roles.

The three-way mini tournament will take place at ILT Stadium Southland – the home of the Southern Steel - starting on February 4 and wrapping up on the 7th.
More information around the Swifts pre-season trip will be announced closer to the date.
BOUND FOR BENDIGO
