It truly was a mixed bag of a season for the Collingwood Magpies.
While six wins and eight losses doesn't look amazing on paper, it wasn't a reflection of the teams ability to produce a fierce brand of netball all season and match it with the best.
Not to mention... they did sneak into the finals. But can they take the next step and prove to be a premiership threat next year?
Before we look too far into the future, let's take a moment to reflect on the season gone by.
Over the next two weeks we will be taking a deep dive into each teams' season, highlighting defining moments before touching on what's to come in 2023.
BEST WIN
Collingwood's best win was hands down when they overcame the ladder leaders - the Melbourne Vixens - during the regular season.
They stormed home in front of a packed crowd at John Cain Arena to win by a comprehensive 10 goals.
Shimona Nelson scored 48 goals and Kelsey Browne dominated the midcourt, racking up 113 Nissan Net Points.
The Pies came close to beating the Vixens in the final round of the season too, eventually losing by two goals. But it was just enough to help secure their place in the finals.
GAME CHANGERS
You can't go past Kelsey Browne. The speedy wing attack was an integral part of the team. She finished sixth in the league for Nissan Net Points and third for goal assists and centre pass receives.
Kelsey Browne had a standout season for the Collingwood Magpies. LOOKING FORWARD
There's no reason the Magpies can't be serious contenders for the premiership in 2023.
They've bolstered their side with the injection of young gun Nyah Allen into the shooting circle as well as recruiting Sunshine Coast Lightning star Maddie Hinchliffe.
The pair will join what was already a strong line up, ready to show the Suncorp Super Netball league what they've got.
